The Mali Enquête Nationale sur la Sécurité Alimentaire et Nutritionnelle (ENSAN) report is based a national survey of 8,586 households, and MUAC measurement of 15,563 children aged 6-59 months. The report found that food insecurity affects a quarter of the Malian population. This is primarily due to an early pastoral dry season, and insecurity in Gao, Timbuktu and Kidal.
