Following an unprecedented food crisis in 2022, Niger continues to face high levels of food insecurity, with two million people having experienced irregular access to safe and nutritious food over the last quarter of 2022, according to the November Cadre Harmonisé food security analysis.

The factsheet highlights Strategic Outcome 3 activities for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. Initiatives encompass livestock insurance, climate services, community development and disaster risk management.

Changing lives and saving lives are crucial to end hunger, especially as the world struggles to reach zero hunger by 2030. WFP programmes address the immediate needs of people facing food crises for food and nutrition.
