When Mwanahamisi lost her husband five years ago, life turned upside down. He had been the household’s sole provider, and a family that was not used to scarcity suddenly lacked food as well as basics such as medicines and cooking fuel.

Some of the challenges the Ambassador witnessed firsthand include the poor living conditions in the camps and continued restrictions on movement and job opportunities.
