The Management Plan is WFP’s comprehensive annual plan of work and one of our key financial planning documents. The document highlights the corporate budget required to implement our programme of work. Its key features include outlining WFP’s projected operational needs, the provisional global implementation plan and forecasted resources to meet those needs.

WFP’s Engineering global team is present in more than 45 countries worldwide, bringing to life the belief that infrastructure is essential to reach global humanitarian objectives and ensure a better future for the people we serve.

The funding, which comes on top of an initial contribution of US$ 6.5 million, will help WFP reach nearly 110,000 displaced people in total. "WFP is extremely grateful to the government of Japan for their unwavering support to our operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo," said Peter Musoko, WFP Country Director in the DRC.

The funding will enable WFP to support vulnerable communities to better meet their food needs and strengthen government capacity to address the impacts of concurring price shocks. The fund will support around 15,000 households in 2024 and 2025 by transferring cash in exchange for work in building productive and protective assets.

Cambodia has seen considerable economic transformation in recent years, but a sizeable portion of the population remains vulnerable to food insecurity, poverty and shocks.

This new funding will enable WFP to continue providing lifesaving food and nutrition assistance to 92,100 people among the most vulnerable refugees, returnees, internally displaced persons, and host communities.

The Eastern Africa region continued to face increased humanitarian needs in 2023 driven by a combination of interconnected factors such as conflict, climate hazards, and economic shocks. Over five years, the number of food insecure people in the region doubled, reaching 63 million.

The contribution of dates will enhance the nutritional value of WFP’s food assistance to vulnerable groups such as pregnant and breastfeeding women and hospital patients, ensuring they receive the necessary nutrients for their well-being. “The donation from KSrelief comes at a critical time as WFP is currently facing funding challenges,” said WFP Country Director and Representative Sarah Gordon

The commitment to provide safe and quality food to affected populations is not only driven by the immediate need to address hunger and malnutrition but also by the responsibility to ensure that donors’ contributions are effectively used to purchase good, nutritious food.
