While millions around the world are slowly rousing themselves from their holiday haze, shops operating World Food Programme (WFP) Assistance Cards in Kutupalong, Cox's Bazaar — the world's largest refugee camp — are bustling.

Internally displaced households continue to employ more frequent and severe negative coping strategies than non-displaced households –a disturbing trend observed since August 2015. The food security situation remains stressed in most conflict-affected governorates.

The strategy provides an overview of WFP’s assistance to strengthen Bhutan’s climate resilient food systems across the agriculture value chain from increasing the demand for local food, improving production capacity, post-harvest management, marketing, coordination and knowledge management.

This manual has been produced to provide comprehensive guidance on the supply chain management of SNF. Its purpose is twofold: to improve planning, procurement and delivery of nutritious foods to beneficiaries; and to maintain the nutritional quality.

The evaluation assessed the following activities :i) food assistance to vulnerable refugees; ii) host communities and iii) support to vulnerable groups targeted by government social safety nets. The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in September and October 2016.

WFP is currently supporting the state of Odisha to transform its Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS). This is one of the Indian Government's most important instruments of policy aimed at food security, inclusive growth and public satisfaction.

The WFP Centre of Excellence commissioned the Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRI), based in South Africa, to analyze the cases of Ethiopia, the Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, and Zambia and launched a new publication that gathers five papers about social protection in those African countries.
