The evaluation covers the Cameroon PRRO 200552 operation “ Food and Nutrition Assistance to Nigerian and Central African Refugees and Host Populations in Cameroon”.

It assessed WFP's alignment and strategic positioning; the factors and quality of its strategic decision-making; and the performance and the results of the portfolio. Portfolio performance was characterised by technical competence – strong work was done by dedicated staff – but strategic drift.

At the request of Indonesia’s Ministry of National Development Planning, WFP and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the involvement of a Team of Indonesian University economists and professors estimated food consumption patterns in Indonesia until 2045.

The objective of the assessment was to evaluate the performance of the 2014 short rains season (October – December rains) and its impacts on various key sectors including water quality and access, crop and livestock production, health and nutrition, markets and trade and education .

The 2014/15 main cropping season (October-June) was acutely affected by tropical cyclones Chedza and Fundi, which struck the country in January and February 2015. These cyclones were preceded and followed by rainfall deficits during the cropping season, with extended drought conditions in the southern regions.

The evaluation covers the Madagascar Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation 200735 "Response to food security and nutrition needs of population affected by natural disasters, and resilience building of food insecure communities in south-western, southern and south-eastern regions of Madagascar".

The evaluation aimed at identifying best practices and lessons learned to enable informed decisions on the implementation of cost-effective and efficient activities, contributing to capacity development, livelihoods and resilience building in families and communities.

The analysis – which is for 133 districts in southern parts of Yemen only, home to 1.4 million children under five – reveals a near 10 percent increase in cases of acute malnutrition in 2020.
