This approach marks Phase III of a prioritization exercise which started in 2021 in response to funding shortfalls for general food assistance for refugees.

As part of its school feeding programme, WFP funds 30 percent of the cost of daily hot meals for children in 673 schools across Ukraine. Schools use the funds to improve the quality of the meals or to reduce the fees parents pay to school canteens.

The training brought together 45 participants, including youth and women from farmsteads in Stampriet, Schlip, Bernafay, and Maltahöhe, who acquired new skills in food preservation and processing.
