The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range in the north of Colombia is the sacred homeland of the Arhuaco Indigenous people, and recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve to promote sustainable development. In the foothills of this imposing mountain range – the highest in a tropical zone – is the municipality of Pueblo Bello.

The first time Lamya Badrkhan visited the Sakhour bakery in Aleppo, she walked into a shell of a building, looked around and wondered how she would ever rebuild it.  It had been seven years since families last stood in line and went back home with arms full of warm bread for breakfast.

Over half a million people are estimated to have fled into Moldova from Ukraine since the start of the conflict. With around 90,000 remaining in Moldova, the country is hosting more Ukrainian refugees per capita than any other country.
