The Food Security Bulletin is part of the national information and early warning system which provides up to date contextual information on the state of food and nutrition security in Timor-Leste. WFP provides technical support in the analysis through the Inter-Ministerial Council for Food Security, Food Sovereignty and Nutrition (KONSSANTIL).

This year in review is a snapshot of the Joint Programme on Gender Transformative Approaches for Food Security and Nutrition in 2022.

“Hunger can be a barrier to education. The additional EU funding to our long-standing partner WFP ensures that more children in Afghanistan receive nutritious food. This is essential for them to have the energy and focus they need to learn effectively and stay healthy.

WFP organised a Project Completion ceremony to recognize the vital contributions of USD 7.2 million (USD 3.7 million, USD 2.5 million and USD 1 million) from the Government of Japan to address the critical needs of 246,000 people affected by the unprecedented 2022 floods in Pakistan.

"This contribution is part of China’s commitment to improving food security and nutrition, developing human capital, strengthening people's livelihoods, and boosting the local economy in Uganda," said H.E.

WFP launched its remote monitoring system (mVAM) in Bangladesh in July 2022 to provide near real-time analytics on food security and essential needs analysis across the country. It allows WFP and partners to assess the food security impact of shocks, including the current global food crisis and seasonal flooding, including the 2022 severe floods in northeastern Bangladesh.

It starts by further defining the evaluation subject and providing a visual overview of its rationale by means of a theory of change (ToC) diagram (section 1). Then, the report presents the evaluation methodology, including its overall approach, criteria and questions, as well as details of the design and implementation of the various evaluation methods (section 2).
