The deteriorating economy, coupled with the skyrocketing prices on basic and food commodities, has rendered many vulnerable Lebanese families unable to afford food to meet their nutritional needs. With more than half the Lebanese population currently living below the poverty line, food security has become a major concern for many.

From 19 to 29 May 2021, food security monitoring phone surveys were conducted in seven townships of Yangon: Dagon Myothit Seikkan, Dagon Myothit South, Dala, Hlaingtharya, Insein, North Okkalapa and Shwepyithar, 325 households were surveyed.
