At a WFP-supported community health and nutrition center in District Pishin, Balochistan Province, HRH Princess Sarah learned about our work in stunting prevention in collaboration with Aga Khan University. The research and evidence generated from the collaboration will support and accelerate efforts in reducing malnutrition, particularly stunting and wasting.

Significant funding shortfalls across East and Southern Africa as well as the Middle East have forced ration cuts upon some of the world’s most vulnerable people who rely on WFP food to survive. In East Africa alone, almost three-quarters of refugees have had their rations cut by up to 50 percent.

EWC Egypt – produced through Seven Circles’ Empowering Through initiative – features the recipes of 54 women from a variety of nationalities, religious and socio-economic backgrounds, who are currently living in the country.
