In February 2016, WFP in close consultation with the National Disaster Center (NDC) of Papua New Guinea (PNG) conducted the first remote telephone-based survey in the country, using the mVAM (mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping) approach. Survey respondents are contacted through a call centre and asked to respond to a short series of questions on food security and livelihoods in PNG.
