The mid-term evaluation covers the Guinea Bissau PRRO 200526 “Nutrition and Livelihoods Support to the Vulnerable Population in Guinea Bissau”. It was intended for both accountability and learning purposes and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results.
The evaluation assessed the following activities: Treatment of acute moderate malnutrition among children 6-59 months and pregnant and lactating women; prevention of chronic malnutrition; Food by Prescription for ART/TB clients and support to their families; school meals; and food for assets.
The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in June 2014.
