The evaluation covers the Ecuador PRRO 200275 operation "Assistance to Refugees and Persons Affected by the Conflict in Colombia" (2011-2014). It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results.
The evaluation assessed the following activities: nutritional support to asylum seekers and Colombian refugees; support to refugees and local communities to improve food security, with a special focus on women and most conflict-affected households; general food distribution and food vouchers; food for work activities; infant and young children feeding and school feeding.
The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in February 2015.
