Findings of a new hunger report to be launched during a High-Level Event of the Global Network Against Food Crises, Brussels, 2-3 April 2019

CAIRO – The Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) David Beasley has ended a three-day visit to Egypt where he visited WFP operations in villages close to the county’s historic town of Luxor in Upper Egypt.

A new report to the UN Security Council shines a spotlight on hunger in conflict zones

CAIRO – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) welcomes a US$4 million contribution from the State of Kuwait to fund projects that improve the lives of Syrians in need. The projects will benefit some 20,000 people across the country whose lives and livelihoods have been torn apart by years of conflict. 

Harare – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) today welcomed a £3.95 million (US$5 million) contribution from the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) to its 2018/19 Lean Season Assistance programme in Zimbabwe.
