The mid-term evaluation covers the Rwanda PRRO 200744: Food and Nutrition Assistance to Refugees and Returnees. It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results.
The evaluation assessed the following activities: 1) curative and preventive supplementary feeding for children under 5 and pregnant and lactating women 2) general food and cash assistance to refugees and returnees 3) school feeding and early child development and 4) support to livelihoods.
The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in March 2016.
