The mid-term evaluation covers the Chad PRRO 200713 operation “Building Resilience, Protecting Livelihoods and Reducing Malnutrition of Refugees, Returnees and other Vulnerable People”.
It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results. The evaluation assessed the following activities: 1) targeted food assistance to refugees and returnees; 2) prevention of chronic and moderate acute malnutrition including blanket supplementary food (BSF) to children and pregnant and lactating women; 3) food assistance for assets
The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in April-May 2016.
