The World Food Programme is deeply concerned about the evolving situation in Lebanon and reports of increasing displacement.

Before September 2024, the food security situation was already rapidly deepening across Lebanon, with 23 percent of the population – 1.26 million people – facing acute hunger. Half of Lebanese families and almost all refugees are struggling to put food on the table.

The World Food Programme (WFP) remains in Lebanon, helping to ensure that vulnerable families can secure their food and basic needs. But, declining humanitarian aid and renewed conflict in the south have contributed to pushing countless families to the edge. Your donation will help WFP support vulnerable families in Lebanon. Please donate today.

Will you help send food aid to Lebanon?

Your donation will help us reach more families with food and aid.

WFP has prepositioned food supplies in Lebanon over the past few months, but we do not have sufficient resources to preposition the amount of food that is required. We stand ready to assist up to 1 million people through a mix of cash, food, ready-to-eat rations, and hot meals. However, additional resources are urgently needed to sustain this vital assistance in the south and to scale it up as necessary. The region is near breaking point and cannot deal with another war.

Our work is 100% voluntarily funded and every donation makes a difference. Your gift to WFP will help us provide emergency food aid to displaced families in Lebanon such as:

  • Hot Meals
  • Food Parcels
  • Support to local bakeries

Please help the UN World Food Programme – the world’s largest humanitarian agency – provide lifesaving support to the most vulnerable families.
