This funding builds on the original $2.5 million, equivalent to four million emergency meals, that Tesfaye directed to WFP’s Gaza response in December 2023. It provided 820 metric tons of food parcels to feed more than 173,000 Palestinians for two weeks. Additionally, Tesfaye is making an urgent appeal to fans, calling on them to give what they can by donating towards WFP's efforts in Gaza.

On a cold and gloomy day in Veselianka village, in Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, a few dozen people gather at a food distribution point where the World Food Programme (WFP) provides monthly food assistance.
Between June and August 2022, the World Food Programme completed the evaluation and conducted a total of 7,097 household and travel group surveys, ensuring representative samples for five population groups: i) Venezuelan migrants with a vocation for permanence, ii) migrants Venezuelans in transit, iii) commuting Venezuelan migrants, iv) Colombian returnees and v) host communities.
The new contribution comes at a time when food insecure families are facing a tough and dangerous winter.
