This report commemorates the achievements of the World Food Programme (WFP) and its partners in the English- and -Dutch-speaking Caribbean over the past five years. Through collaborative efforts with governments and regional institutions, WFP has strengthened disaster management, social protection, and food systems to improve the resilience of vulnerable people in the Small Island Developing States in the Caribbean.
Key accomplishments include supporting governments in strengthening emergency preparedness and response, providing food assistance to those in need, investing in emergency logistics capabilities, and implementing innovative disaster risk financing solutions. Additionally, WFP's advocacy and research efforts have filled critical data gaps, guiding the formulation of effective policies to address food security challenges and foster sustainable development in the region.
WFP Caribbean’s investments and advocacy place the most vulnerable people at the centre of efforts to mitigate the combined impacts of climate-related, economic and other shocks in the English- and- Dutch-speaking Caribbean.
