Nepal, Anticipatory Action: Impact evaluation

https://docs.wfp.org/api/documents/WFP-0000165767/download/
This report presents the findings of a rigorous impact evaluation conducted by WFP's Office of Evaluation (OEV), in partnership with the World Bank’s Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) department, focused on anticipatory cash transfers in response to severe flooding in Nepal.

Using a cluster randomized controlled trial, the evaluation compared outcomes between households receiving anticipatory cash assistance and those receiving traditional post-shock support.

The findings contribute to global efforts to improve emergency response and build resilience through forecast-based anticipatory action.
