The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report offers a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed "Activating Climate-Smart Agricultural Livelihoods in Somalia" (ACALS) project.
This initiative, co-led by WFP Somalia and UNOPS with support from AfDB, aims to empower 250,000 vulnerable individuals, particularly women and youth, in Hirshabelle and Puntland states. By addressing climate vulnerabilities, improving water and agricultural infrastructure, and enhancing disaster risk management, the project strives to foster resilience and economic empowerment.
