The Cambodia COVID-19 Lockdown FSN Brief provides a summary of the impacts of the April 2021 lockdown on food security, nutrition and markets and recommendations to policy and decision makers.
The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted the food security and nutrition situation among a growing segment of Cambodia’s population. Recent lockdowns in Phnom Penh and other locations have further exacerbated the situation. Without support, vulnerable groups are left with very limited resources to anticipate or mitigate the effects of new shocks. Decision makers are advised to protect vulnerable groups’ access to nutritious food and avoid further deterioration of their nutritional status and depletion of their asset basis.
