The Annual Review highlights WFP's work saving and changing lives in 2020, the year in which the organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. As the challenges of conflict, climate change and economic downturns were further exacerbated by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, WFP assisted an unprecedented number of people and worked with governments, partners, communities and families to break persistent cycles of hunger and malnutrition, strengthen resilience to shocks, and build prosperous, sustainable futures.
