HIV, food insecurity and crisis are inexorably linked. WFP, as one of the UNAIDS cosponsors and co-lead of the inter-agency task teams for HIV services in humanitarian emergencies and HIV sensitive social protection, continues to play a key a role in addressing food security for people living with HIV and HIV affected households through food assistance, resilience building, social protection, and government capacity strengthening.
